And people are all pissy because it's not 'canon', although canon to them is some 20 year old neckbeard's basement-written fan fiction and completely unofficial. I fucking love Star Wars, but get the fuck over it. It's just a film.

I liked it as a kid just like any other fun film
It was only in my teens I realised some people are a bit mental about it.
Being pissy about the prequels was mostly fair though

Totally agree about the prequels.
And about the completely unnecessary CGI makeover the original Trilogy received. But the hatred for the new movie seems to be a little overblown.
