and it was a cut scene that was put back (which doesn't make it the best image I could have used, admittedly).

97 added CG jabba, then it looks like that 2011 edition had a different cg one put in - probably because the first was awful

It now contains R2D2 behind some CGI rocks.

Actually the updated version was first seen in the 2004 DVD version and was unchanged in the 2011 release.
Despite the fact that it still doesn't really look like Jabba the Hutt.
