To some extent it is even more scary that this clever technology is unnecessary. Trump has demonstrated on numerous occasions that he can get away with saying "it didn't happen, I didn't say that" even when there is undoctored video evidence proving that he did.
That's truly post truth when you don't even have to hide the contrary evidence any more.
