I mean, to categorise all people of a nation because of its policy which ended back in the early 90s. Being that narrow minded isn't very cool.

While knowing South Africans who are in no way racist or pro-apartheid, I certainly used to struggle to get past the accent, probably due to associating the accent with apartheid when I was younger. That and Lethal Weapon.

This is a normal post I think they may have alluded to the apartheid thing in Lethal Weapon, but I wouldn't ascribe it primary source status on the subject.
