Let's be honest. The cyclist *is* a bit of a pompous cunt - not helped at all by his South African accentm
But it's completely offset by the fact those two Doctors are a pair of absolute megatwats and they have absolutely no right to cut down that road, regardless of what their motives may have been. The disregard some motorists gave for the safety of cyclists is mind-boggling. (Yes, I'm aware that many cyclists also have a complete disregard for pedestrians/other road users, but it's no excuse).

Pompous or not
I take my hat off to him for keeping his cool when faced with that level of arrogance. I often wonder if what appears to be a common perception about South African accents (myself included) comes from watching documentaries about Eugene Terre-Blanche. That and Lethal Weapon.

That's a bit silly.
I mean, to categorise all people of a nation because of its policy which ended back in the early 90s. Being that narrow minded isn't very cool.

That's kind of the point I was making
While knowing South Africans who are in no way racist or pro-apartheid, I certainly used to struggle to get past the accent, probably due to associating the accent with apartheid when I was younger. That and Lethal Weapon.

I think they may have alluded to the apartheid thing in Lethal Weapon, but I wouldn't ascribe it primary source status on the subject.

There's arrogance to spare in this video, not least from the pretentious cunt stopping the traffic.

I note how he has nothing to say about the cyclist at 1:16
Once again, it's one rule for cyclists and another for normal people.

I haven't even watched this but already have an opinion about it.

Wouldn't they need an emergency flashing green light if they were doctors.
She doesn't seem be dressed like a doctor either.

nobody really comes out of that looking good, but the "I'm a doctor, I have patients to see in clinic" routine I think just about justifies the cyclists cuntery
if it's a clinic, it's not an emergency, they can read a fucking magazine. You'll probably make them wait anyway, like every other clinic in Britain where appointment times seem some sort of notional concept rather than reality. It's little different to being late for your job as a cake decorator "But those people will be waiting for their cake, you monster!"
