Sketchy!
It's either:
1) Machinery
2) Human
3) A large animal
4) A small animal with a large megaphone
5) Some unknown animal/alien/Bigfoot etc.
My money's on 4.

I recorded the same sort of noise in a forest in the highlands. Turns out it was some sled dogs 2 miles away, but by the time the sound had reverberated itself through 2 miles of forest it was pretty similar to that. Scared the hell out of me as I was on my own at 5am doing field recordings.
