This is a link post We made a Christmas single I made this!
Because once you’ve had the idea, you have to do it.

I’m very hopeful of success: as I understand it, under broadcasting impartiality rules the BBC have to give this an airing every time they play a record by Gary Barlow.

This is a normal post It's a shame
that like the country, the board is at one mind on every major issue. We can't even start a proper row about the CaC Cats are Great issue anymore.
How I wish I'd lived in a different time - one with global financial crisis, the rise of nationalist populism and an ever present Stalinist threat.

This is a normal post There's a big difference between socialism and Stalinism
- granted, some cnuts in the Labour high command are Stalinists, but they're by no means the majority, and Labour's policies are by no means Stalinist.

Just as the Conservatives have a bunch of racist fuckers lurking amongst them, Labour have a few blinkered twats.

What we want to hope for is that the twats don't end up in charge.

This is a normal post Twats are always in charge
The only difference is whether you agree with more of their policies than the other twats.

my metaphor was meant to point to that fact that financial crisis always ends the same way: land war in europe

This is a normal post I've found that when people use terms like Stalinist and communist in online arguments
they invariably turn out to have no fucking clue what they're talking about or what the terms mean, especially the younger generation
it tends to put me in mind of pbfcomics.com/comics/now-showing/
