But I kinda agree with him... the idea of social media platforms being compelled to fact check everyone's posts would inevitably result in an system of state censorship and control straight out of a dystopian nightmare.
And if major media providers start doing this routinely on their own, eventually legislators are going to get involved, and we're in that dangerous territory.

with a legion of well indoctrinated numbskulls implementing well meaning but flawed blanket policies all over the shop, but flagging up repeated infractions to a some quango who sends Karen round to check your thinking.

the situation we have now is that they are the disseminator of lies which are causing the dismantling of rational society (if there ever was such a thing).

There is no way forward that looks good which has facebook in it.
