Edit: Well I wonder if this manoeuver contributed to the B47's staggering loss rates. Over the operating history of the B-47, 203 aircraft were lost in crashes, with 464 deaths. This represents approximately 10% of the total number produced..

I had the same issue, but if you can weather the first half hour or so of his Elmer Fudd drawl, your brain begins to filter it out.
