This is a normal post "You was my inspiration
"When the virus came
"You didn't shy away from it at all"

Yeah, that's why he's dead. Probably should have tried shying away from it a bit more.

This is a normal post Yeah. That and the fact he was one fucking hundred years old.
When did the general public start thinking humans are immortal?

Obviously he didn't have many years left, but there's no escaping that he died as a direct result of going on a jolly by the same damn thing that we've all been locked indoors to avoid spreading TO PEOPLE LIKE HIM.

It was fucking selfish and should be called out as such.

This is a normal post A "small family funeral" for Captain Sir Tom Moore will take place on Saturday.
His family has asked the public not to attend and [to] "continue to support the NHS by staying at home".

Which is fucking rich.

This is a normal post Reporting the date does not help it being small or just family.

This is a normal post I thought that. It's highly dubious he caught it on the trip.
He had more than one negative result after returning. He developed pneumonia, as poorly geriatrics often do, a little while after his return and underwent treatment. Only then came the covid, after he was already sick, and hospitalized.

But, yeah, I really don't think he had any business flying. The question really is not why did he go on the trip, but why BA was flying. If they're legally flying, people will board the planes.

This is a normal post I wouldn't call him out
I can't understand why his family thought it was a good idea, even if it was a "last chance" holiday for him. My main issue is with the airline and Barbados govt. offering free flights and accommodation.

I actually don't blame BA or Barbados at all.
He could have said no. He could have said in a couple of months when I'm vaccinated. He could have waited until after all non-essential travel was banned.

The timing of doing it at Christmas, when we were all unable to see our families was particularly awful.

This is a normal post How can you not blame the facilitators of his final folly?
The kindest thing I can say about it is it was very risky, but it wasn’t illegal, so I think we need to temper our criticism of the tedious old codger.

This is a normal post BA is a group of people. Do they have any personal responsibility collectively or individually?
