Pity me - this kind of shit sticks in my head, in this case since about 1992.
Alison "Betty Boo" Clarkson had a number 7 hit with this in 1990. Not your average pop bimbo, she studied sound engineering so she could do her own producing. I also vaguely recall seeing her on some quiz show where she demonstrated a suprisingly deep knowledge of music history.
Betty Boothroyd was the first and so far only woman to be Speaker of the House of Commons from 1992 to 2000, after having been a Tiller Girl until an injury put an end to her dancing career.
I've finally attempted to exorcise this nonsense from my head by putting it here. And if it's now stuck in your head - you're welcome!

I remember this song
I sometimes get similar ideas that no-one is ever likely to find amusing other than myself, as the references date back many years and are a combination of entirely unrelated subject matters. However, your exhibit made the corners of my mouth turn upwards, so hopefully that is sufficient justification for your 20 minutes of work. It also provides me with hope that perhaps, one day, I may myself achieve such a level of mild amusement amongst the loveable weirdos of b3ta.
