You know what would have been really good?
A prequel series set in the Alien universe dealing with the Weyland-Yutani corporation from an internal perspective. A bit like 'For All Mankind', but focusing on all the corporate malevolence that W-Y are so synonymous with.
You could still focus somewhat on the 'Capitalism BAD, Socialism GOOD!' woke bullshit without shoehorning it into the plot in such a hamfisted manner, and I reckon it'd be a far fresher direction than releasing yet another 'Xenomorphs, but different!' instalment into an already tired formula
David was by far the most interesting element in Prometheus/Alien: Covenant. There's so much potential to explore that side of things.
God forbid a story-driven feature becomes popular in this day and age, though. Apparently folk are already complaining that House of the Dragon is too slow...

The Boys already has the outright corporate malevolence angle pretty well covered. What I find more interesting is people doing bad things but with good intentions.
And I'll agree about David. There's a lot of good ideas in Prometheus, but they needed another couple of redrafts of the script to get rid of all the stupid. Thematically the film was closer to Blade Runner than Alien and really should have been handled as such.

The Boys is absolutely fantastic.
The satire is absolutely pin-sharp, but I'd like to see a more dramatic angle and I reckon Weyland-Yutani would be an absolutely ideal fictional corporation to base it on. Probably never going to happen though, sadly.
