I always thought
the homeopathic seatbelt was like a regular seatbelt, but was so diluted that to any rational examiner it looks and acts just like the image of a seatbelt printed onto your shirt.
Either that or you get the cause of death in a car accident (the other car) then place that in pure water for a while until the water gains a memory imprint of the other car, then you take 2 drops of that water before driving.

The lower the dose, the greater the potency.
Therefore, because some water has touched some cars before continuing its way on the water cycle, all water is now incredibly potent counter-car medicine. However, as more water touches more cars over time, the potency of the anti-car power of water is constantly diminishing.
