This is a normal post And they didn’t keep any assets so a remaster would mean doing from scratch.
To be fair, that probably wouldn’t take nearly as much time these days, but AI upscaling would be easier. What a time to be alive.

Hollywood films of the era like The Lawnmower Man, Hideaway and Super Mario Bros had massive budgets and still look like shit by modern standards. It's all that the tech of the time was capable of.
