I disagree. :)
The right's emphasis on loyalty and unity leads to mindless uniformity and blind faith in their ideological authorities. Leftist philosophy attempts a more scientific approach. Think of the bickering as peer review, or active error testing and correcting.

While I broadly agree...

A few hundred thousand years or so of adaptation might sort it.
