This is a normal post Dentist says it's mostly the luck of the genetics
but quitting smoking when I was 30 sorted out my gum problems. The only work needed since has been a result of troublesome wisdom teeth.

This is a normal post I have a lower one that’s cracked.
Too afraid of nerve damage to get it pulled.

This is a normal post I had both wisdom teeth out on one side
one was at an angle that meant it was impossible to clean properly and I ended up having to lose a molar as well a few years later due to that decay. The dentist was an artist though and though it took a root canal, a crown and a filling below the gumline that molar lasted ten years before having to be taken out. He was the best dentist I've ever had, fair play.

This is a normal post It’s a wisdom tooth so I’d just as soon have it out.
The top one on that side cracked in half years ago so that came out without too much bother. I worry there might not be enough left of the bottom one to grab.

But this is all academic since even private dentists seem to be thin on the ground.

This is a normal post I've had 3 out.
For the third one, I went to the Dental School, cos it was free. After a half hour battle the student had to give up and the professor took over. Another ten minutes later, and with the aid of his knee on my chest, it was out! I never went back.
I hope that has put your mind at rest.
