You have to set a flag to make the settings editable.

In firefox, go to about : config (no spaces).
Create a new entry called "browser.urlbar.update2.engineAliasRefresh" and set it to "true".
This allows you to create a custom search entry in Settings, Search.
Make one called "Google NoAI" or something, and use this URL in the "Engine URL" box:
www.google.co.uk/search?q=%s&udm=14
Save, then set it as the default.
