If the clubs banned everyone booing the knee then that would send an appropriate message, but football biz people are not very bright, evidently institutionally racist, so probably don't see anti-anti-racism for what it very obviously is, or at least cynically pretend not to recognise it when that's profitable.
I know someone who was actually affected by that gambling slogan to stop all kinds of harmful behaviour, btw. Simple slogans work, just look at the 52%.

And you're right to bring that group of the population into this discussion, "it wasn't just racists that voted to leave europe...".
I assume a good deal of the people they hope to convert, counter-productively view this as having woke BS rammed down their throat and push them further away.
