Let's make him a monster because he's, like, a monster. Fucking hell... surely even if you hate Musk you can recognise that not all Musk-hate is talented or funny.

If anything, I think a lot of the divisive, performative bollocks is carried out with the specific intention of causing controversy.
The bloke is incomprehensibly wealthy, losing a few billion doing stupid shit like making Nazi salutes probably seems like money well spent to him from an entertainment perspective.
All the shit he pulls just feels like a massive excersise in trolling. DOGE, ffs.
I mean, he's clearly a prick, but 'hating' the guy just feels like basically taking the bait.

You're right that it is ironic that for all his vast wealth, his personality is essentially just another man-child attention-seeking internet troll, full of similar banal and tribal prejudices. It's very needy and validation seeking.
It's not the only irony, an electric car maker getting in to bed with a global warming denialist president was pretty funny.

To put it in perspective, for him losing $1,000,000 is like if you had $500,000 and lost $1.
You wouldn't even bother diving down the back of the sofa for it...

If he gets this fabled bonus everyone is up in arms about, you can add the USA to that list, too.
