I once had lunch in the old Roberts (Thatch's Dad) shop which had...
...been converted into a restaurant, with one part done up to look like the shop when Thatch was a child. We were the only diners and the owner explained how it wasn't very popular with locals, but visitors from down south loved it. "If only this was in Essex" he lamented.
Bumped into a friendly local and got chatting about this and was told how the shop had been widely used, and Mr Roberts had a reputation as a big cunt, and later his daughter developed a similar reputation.
Jason from Sleaford Mods is from Grantham, but chose Sleaford because he wanted no association with Thatch.
