This is a normal post This could be the start of a very long list.
I quit it when they ended my grace period of freedom. Turns out without it I am free to listen to whatever I like, whenever I like.

That's my main issue as a consumer. It deliberately makes life worse for its users, then tries to charge them for the freedom they had before they started using the app.

I don't understand why I should ever opt in to system like that. If there's any music or podcast that's exclusive to Spotify, obviously the producers don't want me to listen to it. They only want people who have been conditioned to give up their freedoms for imaginary convenience.

They are embracing AI music catered to the individual user, such as unlicensed AI remixes of music never intended to be remixed by an unthinking algorithm, etc.

They pay artists fuck all.

This is a normal post You could just say they're a shitty corporation.
But so are Apple, so are Amazon, so are Alphabet, so are Netflix, so are Microsoft (do they still even do music?)

For that matter, all the major record labels (who are heavy investors in Spotify, getting paid on the backend so they don't have to cut the artists in) are shitty corporations. There's no ethical consumption under Capitalism, so do your best.

Bandcamp doesn't do podcasts and Soundcloud is shite. The peak music experience was ripped .wmas and Last.FM radio via WinAMP.

This is a normal post It's hard to answer your questions when you've (randomly?) put me on ignore.
Edit: The OP put me on ignore not you. Well, I don't know that for sure, but the OP certainly did.

Of the nasty companies you list, only Microsoft have any of my money, only because I own 2 computers bought from reputable retailers. Plenty of people live happy and productive lives with 'Activate Windows' in the bottom right of their screen. Some even use unix and linux.

Apple have nothing I need or desire in life. Their prices are hilarious, their supporters less so.

You don't need Amazon in your life at all. Support your local high street.

Google have fully enshittified, there are decent alternatives to every single one of their products and services (maybe with the exception of YT, but give it time).

What makes soundcloud shite compared to fucking spotify?

Nostalgia kicks the llama's arse.

This is a normal post Righty-ho
The link works without paying them anything though, so they’re losing money when you click. What’s the problem here?

I'm guessing the main problem here is cognitive.

This is a normal post I've done no such thing.
However it is interesting to learn that you
a.) Have spent time finding a workaround when someone has you on Ignore, and
b.) Think it's appropriate to use it.

This is a normal post Weird.
I spent no time finding a workaround, it's bafflingly obvious how to read/respond to the ignored/ignorers, as you know, because you are evidently doing it too.

I think it is appropriate to reply to questions asked of me specifically. Why do you think it's appropriate to ask me questions and then put me on ignore? Are you in good mental health?

This is a normal post Oh shit, my mistake, you're not the OP either!
Please accept my most humble apologies.

The OP musty have me on ignore as the whole thread has vanished. I'm the one with the cognitive problems after all, cos I thought that was you, but you are clearly not xaer0mancer.

I blame the dihydrocodeine. Not been thinking straight for weeks, dental health crisis.
