This didn't work, for the reasons given above but the rhythms of the two synced well so you obviously tried and something else might.
It's better to lead from what sounds good in your mind's ear than anything predicated on some visual or verbal joke. The songs themselves don't care that you want them to fit together.
Also, don't overdo repetition of phrases; that gets old very quickly. Try to keep the novelty of it alive all the way through, and remember - above all - you're never going to get any money out of it, so the effort-to-reward ratio will depend wholly on how fun it is to hear the two together.

That's really thoughtful. I'm an old git with too much time on his hands, so the only real barometer for whether something's worth doing is whether I enjoy it, and I had a real blast making this. I'm fairly new to this mixology malarkey so I'm learning as I go. I appreciate all the feedback.
