Inspired by b3ta legend Happy Toast's recent reconstruction of Raymond Pettibon's iconic album cover (used with kind permission), here's Scooby Youth's major label debut for Gruffen Records, Drool Thing.
Fear of a canine planet...
Try playing the spoken word section alongside the original Kool Thing for bonus lols.

I replaced the entirety of the verbal exchange between Kim Gordon and Chuck D with Scooby Doo dialogue. If you want to hear what both sets of lyrics sound like together, then click on the link below.

as my embarrassing teenage grunge cover band played it back in the day. I don't need to hear any more of this, thanks.

Although in my case, the embarrassing teenage grunge band covered Dirty Boots.

from the spoken word section and replaced them with alternative lyrics from Shaggy, Scooby, Fred, Daphne and Velma.
Here's a version that shows what those lyrics sound like together...

I've always thought they go together very well.

This didn't work, for the reasons given above but the rhythms of the two synced well so you obviously tried and something else might.
It's better to lead from what sounds good in your mind's ear than anything predicated on some visual or verbal joke. The songs themselves don't care that you want them to fit together.
Also, don't overdo repetition of phrases; that gets old very quickly. Try to keep the novelty of it alive all the way through, and remember - above all - you're never going to get any money out of it, so the effort-to-reward ratio will depend wholly on how fun it is to hear the two together.

but otherwise yeah.

That's really thoughtful. I'm an old git with too much time on his hands, so the only real barometer for whether something's worth doing is whether I enjoy it, and I had a real blast making this. I'm fairly new to this mixology malarkey so I'm learning as I go. I appreciate all the feedback.

Just finished listening to the Al Stewart/Nirvana mash-up. That was pure joy.
