I am feeling pretty smug that I didn't comment online before the details emerged.
She was a hateful apologist for the instigator of multiple race riots, and even though I'm in favour of slapping a little sense into the ignorant thugs who support her fascist party, and even though I oppose 99.999% of everything the vile troll stood for, Widdecombe herself was a physically defenceless old woman who did not deserve to die like this.
