I wrote this a while back so you'll forgive me if I repost sections here

money is created from deposits and the capital of the bank against which they are permitted by the Bank Of England to lend a certain amount based upon the (im)probability of all deposits being called back at the same time
they are permitted to create the money in relation to how much actual money they hold - they are still creating it from nothing - as a rough example, say someone deposits £1000 in the bank of actual money from his labour in the real world - from that deposit they loan out £9000 created money based on having that real money deposited in - and charge interest on it
ah but they say - interest is charged by banks as compensation for loss of liquidity , i.e giving the money to you instead of doing something else with it
however it is brought into existence by the loan application procedure
and the amount they are allowed to create is much higher than the amount of real money they hold -- that money could not be created from nothing without your signature
your signature manifests the money
the central banks scam is ingenious because of its simplicity
the reason the scam works so well is because he central banks control the currency of an entire nation, i.e. the control of interest rates and money supply (inflation) -
it loans to the government at interest and then regulates value of this currency through supply
this entire mechanism only produces one thing -DEBT
every note is produced with interest (debt) attached - the effect is the central bank has to perpetually increase the money supply to cover the outstanding debt created - which in turn creates more debt - what we have is a very sophisticated form of slavery - as it is impossible for people and government to come out of this self perpetuating cycle of debt
in the 20s they refined this scam by increasing the money supply and creating high risk loans (hence the period known as the Roaring 20s) - they then called in the loans en masse causing massive sell offs and bank runs enabling the central bank to buy up whole corporations on the cheap - -the bank then contracted the money supply creating -the great depression of the 1930
the end goal is centralisation as with the 30s
and possibly money in the form of credits on a microchip - which is the ultimate goal
it's like someone said earlier about the financial crisis being caused by city wide boys and not some 'shadowy elite'
yep, the city wide boys caused the financial troubles but because they operated in an unregulated arena created by those above them - despite the seeming chaos it all still exists within the convines of created system at the higher level, as with the 30s
it seems the two most important subjects are the ones we are least educated on - Law and finance
brace yourself for hyper inflation next year
even Robert Kiyosaki the guy who wrote the best seller "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" - which I was following for the financial advice a few years ago, predicted the crash in his sequel 'the cash flow quadrant'
and the podcasts of Alan Watt also went into it in depth last year - and pick any of his podcasts from Sept this year to see what to expect for the following 2 years (link below) or you can download them for your ipod free from his website (here :www.mefeedia.com/feeds/9392/

there's a reason why i'm getting out of this system with all my cash from my housing sales directed into buying land for building and maintaining crops (and water bore hole). Hopefully being fully self sustainable in another country before 09 working for a charity to pass the weeks. The only delay for me at the momemt is sorting the corrupt land deals from the (rare) genuine ones - hopefully I can get back to basics with my family and extended family before the collapse
by going along with this system you maintain it and your silence is taken as acquiensence, it involves dozens of decisions you make each day - and all of us have the power to say no
the only thing that matters in life is other people, how we treat each other - the antithesis of the egocentric money system - if we are ever to take our lives back we need this as the foundation of a rebuilt society before a 'solution' is given to us as they want in UN agenda 21 - yep they worte about the economic collapse many years ago too - see my previoous posts or my profile for the books and who wrote them
scrolling back I noticed this question www.b3ta.com/links/235936
the best answer I've heard to date is found at the beginning of this pod:caller asks the question at 30 seconds :

I mean on one hand, yes, his posts are enormous and could probably be whittled down to a few pithy sentences with the occasional link for further reading rather than citing a bunch of questionable sources that dilute his argument.
That being said, he does actually argue on subjects that he spends a lot of time researching (however questionable the sources) and has some geniune passion about, so if you can't agree you can still be interested.
If you hate it so much then hassle the people that bait him.

But I found it watchable and easy to assimilate, whereas reading reams of text is a bit more like hard work for most people (myself included).
The use of presentations with simple explanatory pictures and diagrams helps too.
And he's pretty funny, which makes all this depressing information a little more bearable.

How are you planning on protecting your land, crops and water supply when the fascists/marauding biker gangs/zombies come to take it off you?
My brother is preparing for Armageddon in a similar way, but the thing he hasn't got is any weaponry - which makes me fear for his chances.
Also, I take issue with this:
"by going along with this system you maintain it and your silence is taken as acquiensence, it involves dozens of decisions you make each day - and all of us have the power to say no"
because if "saying no" involves buying land suitable for self-sufficient subsistence farming, millions (or billions) of us don't have that option.
I've still yet to read about a *practical*, *feasible* alternative to the inherently corrupt monetary system we have now.

fascists/marauding biker gangs/zombies would be easier to deal with - it just makes it easier to keep your options open when they offer their 'solution' and it gives you the ability to say 'no'
EDIT: just noticed you edited in your question:
because if "saying no" involves buying land suitable for self-sufficient subsistence farming, millions (or billions) of us don't have that option.

caller asked very similiar question at 6 minutes 30 seconds into this:

also it does not have to be that radical, just simple and effective, the key is in other people and a community co operation and co dependancy - in this sytem you would have to be humane to your felow man otherwise you simply wouldn't survive or flourish
there are 2 types of human - the phycopathic ones get ahead very quickly and easily in this system - people who can imitate human emotion but are deviod of empathy - people like Princess Toni BLair - people willing to step on others on the way up for personal advancement, we all know them
these characters would be ostresized in a system built on co-operation and these traits would be discouraged - we have a situation now in which people realise by taking on these traits they get ahead very quickly
and unfortuanley the freemasonic institutions which riddle society, what ever your opinion of them, exacerbate this problem

about our chances of building a functioning
society based on the credo "take care of your fellow man". While that might work on a village level, it stops working as soon as a population grows beyond that - as one village will always do better than another, and will then need to enlarge its territory... And we know how that ends up, because we're there now.
I don't see why the future should be any different from the past.

it's simple
we have no choice because the alternative, found in books written by foundation members is not an option - it's a utopia, but not for us
"as one village will always do better than another, and will then need to enlarge its territory... And we know how that ends up, because we're there now."
I'm glad you made that point because standing armies only arose out of taxation which only arose out of the introduction of the monetary system
if cooperaton was paramount there is always an alternative solution - especially when it sdifficult to raise a standing army without money as incentive
to quote my previous posts:
the (river) bank controls the current (water)
the (financial) bank controls the currency (money)
the interchangability of the terms is not coincidence
it’s derived from the practice of banking the rivers to create population movement and coerce people into living in the city states - forcing them to give up their humane way of living of farming and barter - (how we should be living) - to an imposed system of money and governance through an elitist class structure of controlled knowledge
in early Egypt the Nile was originally a Deluge that came down from the mountains and flowed North - creating massive swamps and tributaries - the Hamites came in and created one river (BANKS) - the people who used to have water access for their crops had to move into the created cities (and ‘civilisation’ ) and became slaves for the 'understanding class' who had access to ‘the sciences’ or ‘The mystery religions’ as they were known back then. (this survives today via Freemasonry - ask your local policeman, judge, solictor, university lecturer etc or anyone with a uniform (UNI_FORM - to shape as one - within))
once you have your population in your city state, that’s when the fun really starts in the form of taxes (CURRENCY) and labour. Which are then extracted by the ruling elite (the priesthoods and leisure classes) - with taxes came the creation of standing armies and the suppression of the governed populations - it’s an old formulae used by all elites throughout history for millennia (this is why the bee hive (BE_HAVE) is such an ancient symbol in freemasonry - and especially now as we are led into “the New Age” - with the new eco religion of ‘Gaia worship’ Gorbachev wrote of recently - and the whole Club of Rome climate change con we see emerging)
THe Club of Rome: The First Global Revolution (1991),
page 104;
"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill ...
All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."
- Club of Rome,
"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis..."
- David Rockefeller, Club of Rome executive member
to have this elite class living in luxury supported by a labouring underclass you need money(to pay the standing armies) and there needs to be a system in place to make it all happen - and a beaurocratic structure to maintain it - scoot forward a few thousand years and we take this system to its ‘natural’ conclusion with the ultimate scam

all a change would do is change who is on which side.
Humans are humans, the reason why we survive is because we're adaptable and opportunistic. It's built into us to take advantage of each other, and anyone that has ever tried to influence anyones opinion ever is included.

not only is interdependance preferable and enjoyable it's a necessity for peaceful harmonious survival - and who doesn't want that? - yep we all have traits of egocentrcity but only because they are the 'favoured' traits which have been encouraged in this contrived system - run by people with the psychopathic tendancies and lack of empathy (otherwise they wouldn't be so high up in the establishment - bacsue it takes these traist to advance so quickly ) (as Bertrand Russel wrote in "Education and the Good Life" and "the impact of Science on Sociuety")
imagine a system where the opposite traits were encouraged from an early age instead?
it's why they knew they had to destroy the family unit to destroy the last vestiges of the 'tribe' - a child being indoctrinated with his values from the educational establishment and not his parents

if so, where do you see yourself in this new society?

a Rebublic existed - but one never has ( US is a democracy despite starting out with best intentions - (demos - means group or mob) mob rule) someone said demcoracy is 2 wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner
and Edward G. griffin (in his book creatures of Jekyl Island- about Fed reserve ) goes into how democracy is corruputable but Republics are self regulating and it's purpose to protect the minority and liberties of population in general - democracy over rules personal liberties in favour of a (sometimes easily manipulated) mass consensus
