the Abrams/Tarantino debate was only down to the content in the video. No-one brought it up.

And anyone who says 'i haven't seen *said film*, but...' has no scope of the arguement as a whole, and opinion as thus is invalid.

I said I haven't seen Star Trek but I have heard good things about it. I have not passed judgment on it and wouldn't as I haven't seen it.

I was just pointing out that you can't make a comment like 'you can not even compare Abrams to Tarantino' when you haven't even seen Abrams' full body of work.

Not that i was comparing them, originally.

So for example, I have not heard all of The Beatles work, and I haven't heard all of The Beach Boys work. However, I can still comment and compare them.

I wasn't going to say it was shit, and I wasn't going to say it was good. I haven't seen it, so I can't express my opinion. I was stating that I could not pass judgment upon it for that exact reason as part of the bigger statement. Either you are being deliberately obtuse here, or you really do need to sort your head out.

What i am saying is, in your original post you stated 'Now, let's compare that with JJ Abrams' whilst not seeing all his work. That is what is annoying me. Nothing obtuse about it. Fairly simple.
