That's not a particularly well-informed comment.
You've got whole slews of films coming out in 3d at the moment and directors like Cameron saying they'll never make another 2d film again. They won't all be presented in 2d as well as 3d as there aren't going to be enough screens to show them on. As a film reviewer he's got to see them otherwise he's out of a job.
As for complaining that he's opinionated - he's a film reviewer. If he didn't have an opinion and wasn't able to justify why he held that opinion he'd be a very bad one.

I can't reasonably expect you to go through the rest of your life without watching another one of Cameron's films. How would you survive? What kind of life would that be?
