This is a normal post Personally I thought it was obvious that he was experiencing confusion
And for that exactly that reason I found it extremely difficult to watch. It seems like seeing a child dealing with death in front of itself (but it shouldn't necessarily be constrained by aspects this analogy). Nevertheless because of its confusion, it's lack of knowledge, I felt a great deal of grief for the animal.

And with that I have to suspect that you're a very closed unemotional human since you haven't revealed a similar result and seemed quite the opposite. Or you've just been over-analysing what may be a basic emotion that is based on empathy and compassion. Both of which are hardly bad.

This is a normal post Well aside from diagnosing people on the internet from a single utterance,
I'm with you, but there are factors at work here worthy of discussion. I'm more interested in the anthropology surrounding the creation and distribution of this video. I care far more for humans than animals (not to say that I don't care for animals at all) as any sane human being who wishes to be part of society surely must. As I have intimated above, presenting animal behaviour in human terms is unhelpful.

I think it unwise to demonise, or at least present as some kind of aspergers case, those who you disagree with, that kind of thinking leads to all kind of dark places.

This is a normal post Well personally I don't see an issue in that.
So instead of diagnosing with a similar indifference to emotions that you seemed to apply in your post, I will offer a question. For someone who cares more for humans than for animals, you don't seem to find feelings a priority, as some seem to be hurt, is discussion more important to you?

This is a normal post In my defence the toes on which I tread appear somewhat fragile
Everyone has a right to be offended. But they don't have a right not to be offended. To keep banging one particular drum, this link has been reposted by a second (unknowing) party with no preview and a NSFW -the kind of respect for the feelings for others I very much approve of.

Discussion is very important to me, perhaps moreso than preserving the emotional states of those involved, to close a topic from discourse is to strangle the mind. As with all things one must tread a balance; too afraid of causing offence and you'll never speak out against things you disagree with. As I have said above, filming this pathetic (in the true sense of the word)creature in this state, for this purpose is not a respectful act.

This is a normal post Well to be honest I have no problem in having a discussion.
It's expecting one in this thread I find suspect, if not that just a little bit foolish. Nevertheless your final point is a good one.

This is a normal post I'll be honest
I'm with Metalfish to a degree; upon loading the video I thought this:

Aww that's cute...

...wait, is that cat dead?

Why the fuck am I watching a video of a dead cat?! >: <

This is a normal post For goodness sake give it a rest, I'm having a hard enough time of it recently as it is.
