
About as mind blowing as a lot of short form sci-fi though. Which isn't to belittle either. And as with most good ideas someone like Arthur C Clarke will already have done it better.

The Firstborn trilogy (co written with Stephen Baxter) is a good 'un, Mr Baxter's books aren't too shabby either :)
