it's the spacey plodding technoy stuff I can't really understand why I liked
Orbital, The Orb and others so obscure that I've forgotten their names.

Oddly it's
the bands I secretly liked at the time that have aged so much better than the 'cool' ones I admitted to.
I still love Shampoo and Saint Etienne.

I've certainly heard once it before - I remember chatting to someone about it, how it was obvious that the lyrics weren't written by the girls in Shampoo themselves as many of the cultural references are at least 10 years older than them.
