Effectively Coca Cola have no control of the org. They invested only. Innocent made the decision because they could not expand any other way without losing control of their org. They are continuing to push their fair trade and organic agenda but are now reaching further into markets previously untouched in europe etc. This also means that they are perhaps promote this sort of behaviour to the rest of Coca cola.
A mitigated version of "If you can't beat them - join them?"

I'd like to be at that board meeting!
I wouldn't be surprised if the whole "we invested in them, but dont control them" message was very carefully crafted as to not impact the image of Innocent.
