There are writers out there
but unless your idea is 'pre-sold' , or stars someone like Adam sandler or jennifer Aniston studios won't bump up more than about $20m budget.
We will probably NEVER see another out of nowhere blockbuster like Indiana Jones or Close Encounters

Slumdog Millionaire did alright for $15m, Inception was a huge gamble too.

Are you by any chance arguing
that the director of both Close Encounters and Raiders of the Lost Ark wasn't well known at the time? Or that the lead actor in Indiana Jones was unknown?
