Last weekend was the Ludum Dare competition for indie game developers... they have to great a game in 48 hours. They managed to create 599 games between them. The quality is... mixed.
So I played loads of them... and here's my high/lowlights as I slowly descended into madness.

I can't even help it :(
I have full sections of me gently weeping in the unedited footage. There was a cut Spice Girls medley also. A MEDLEY! I didn't even know I knew that many SG songs :(
But yeah, it's not my usual bag. It's just what happened during the marathon.

Nicely done. I'm not sure I'd have had the patience to get through 6 of them. Also I'm pleased to see Notch was doing this when he should have been BUSY FINISHING MINECRAFT!!!
...and breathe.

when they're web/flash games. It's a bloody nightmare when you're installing a whole bunch of .dll's and fonts to get something to work though.
And to be fair to Notchkins, a ton of the code he's did for this little game could quite easily be used in minecraft. I watched him work for a large chunk of the weekend and he's a MACHINE!
1.8 is rumoured to be out next week.
