Also, the original The Thing, which is a masterpiece.

Also, I concur, psychological horror is always more disturbing than gore.

Also Martyrs is very disturbing.

Also Haneke's Funny Games, the original.

Also, I'm not a horror fan but 30 Days of Night is fucking brilliant.

Also, when Sadako comes out of the screen in Ringu, great fuck breaking the 'fourth wall'.
