This is a normal post There's a traffic jam near my house because of the fucktards panic buying fuel
There's not even a date set for a strike yet.

Also, the government has missed a trick here: Instead of getting everyone all worked up, why the juddering fuck don't they advise people to conserve fuel by encouraging them to walk/cycle/use public transport or car share?
So much for "We're all in this together" crap, the message they've incredibly successfully promulgated here is "Everyone for themselves". Fucking stupid cunts.

This is a normal post ^ this, decanted next to the lit cooker
God knows what would happen if there was a real disaster in the UK. Probably a quick television speech and a "goodbye - and good luck everyone!" before climbing into their escape pods.

This is a normal post Actually,
it's a conspiracy.

The government is in the pay of the oil companies and they needed to boost their profits before the end of the tax year.

It also boosts tax receipts in the short term thus helping out George Osborne.

When in the employ of the civil service, we absolutely did not sometimes sign off on contracts before completion at the end of the financial year, thereby ensuring the same level of funding the following year.

This is a normal post Breaking troublesome unions did wonders for the tories in the 80s.
Notice how keen they were that Labour should condemn the strike before it's even happened. They're polarising the debate.
