7.62. As in 7.62mm. .762 suggests you're using inches, which would mean a 1.9cm calibre round (like something you'd fire from an aircraft), which would DEFINITELY hurt.

The old NATO was 7.62×51mm, and the current standard NATO round is 5.56×45mm

My bad - NATO use 7.62 for Chain guns and GPMG, but not for any assault rifle I can think of?
