As I was reading that
I thought it was a pretty spurious argument, but after thinking about it for a few minutes the only sitcom I can think of which violates your rule is Yes Minister, and even that's not THAT great.
And the 4th series of The Thick of It is on later in the year, so unless that goes shit all of a sudden, we'll be able to count that as well.

Frasier never did it for me either. I just picture Kelsey Grammar standing facing camera in a stiff pose deflecting feed-lines in a tiresome posh accent. All down to tastes, I know...
