He's gonna get bone-itis in his fingers when he's older!

I was contemplating taking piano lessons soon, but this just puts me right off.

Learning an instrument and playing it isn't just about complexity or ability, you get a lot out of it regardless of how good you are, don't compare yourself to anyone and just enjoy it.

Not taking lessons as having someone tell me what to do is not how I learn.

Got myself a nice digital piano, a book, some VSTs and drink and just play.

although its pretty impressive sounding it is actually a pretty easy piece (grade 5 set piece). Yes he's playing it fast but not very accurately.

Very good for his age but not entirely exceptional.
