This is a normal post I've only just read about this guy and what he said, in summary: he's fucking mental.

This is a normal post Just a bit dim, I think,
which is unfortunately the big flaw with democracy.

This is a normal post same as all his followers/voters
who seem to get all their facts from extremist Christian websites like this one:
www.christianliferesources.com/article/rape-pregnancies-are-rare-461

This is a normal post Remember, if it doesn't say "Christian" on it,
it's not a legitimate Christian opinion.

I'd like to see some proper stats on this, but the irrelevance of it all is simply stunning. Even by their own admission, it sometimes happens, however rare... so when it does... then what?

This is a normal post 5% of rapes result in pregnancy
32,101 rape related pregnancies reported in the US each year (estimated)

This is a normal post By comparison
the chance of getting pregnant deliberately (no birth control, both healthy, some Barry White on in the background, ticking all the boxes to get it right) goes from 0% on day 2 of ovulation to 9% on day 13 and then back down again.

This is a normal post *scribbles furiously on notepad*
So according to this and if I understand my GCSE biology, 95% of rapes occur just after menstruation?

This is a normal post You know that moment when you think your day can't get any worse and then it does?

This is a normal post The really worrying thing
is that he is on the house Science and Technology committee, science clearly not including biology.
