it is tragic.
most of those injured were not from the gunman, he had one intended target, his former coworker, whom was fatally shot.
everyone else was caught in the crossfire of the gunfire exchanged with police.

i have always thought that
Whom would be used when someone receives an action. in this case someone was shot. but, oh well. learn something new everyday.
