"All I know is that Apple products work. We got our first Apple 13 years ago to do Computer Graphics and Art. Only an Apple did what we needed. PC's, though cheaper, were good at typing and children's games. The other reason was reliability. You plugged it in and it worked. PC's can do many things now but for graphics, photos, art and printing especially newspapers you have to have an Apple."
I know what he means, i had to buy 5 pc's until i got lucky and got one that actually worked when i plugged it in. What an idiot.
I use macs, it's the only thing i can use for making music, that's the only reason i use them, i've never taken any of them to a coffee shop.

I'm not sure about reliability rates either. I have friends with macs who have complained about various issues, failures (not as easy to get into and repair or replace either). I do all my web and graphics work on PC's and find no issues either. I just don't get why they think macs are better. I put them at a level pegging with PC's just more expensive. It's an opinion btw. I have used macs at school, but that was over 16 years ago now, well before the modern mac rounded corners boom...
I can also plug it in and it works.
EDIT: by idiotic comments I meant Tonys, not yours Bready. *hugs*

I just couldn't be bothered arsing around trying to increase the mega-ramage and jpegs on my pc to bring it up to speed so that i could look at gifs. I opted instead to get a mac, i can now run two gifs at once and it has loads of gigi-bits and other cool stuff.

I have far less hassle with Macs. In fact, I am going out to buy another one today. £2000 of goodness.
