They're just a generic shitty sponge cake with some over-sweet bounce-off-the-walls artificially coloured icing smeared on top. There are far better cakes available out there. Even your bog-standard supermarket bought ginger sponge is a superior beast, a good traditional fruit cake is better, and since this is B3ta, how about a nice slice of battenburg?! (If icing is a must, I'll take carrot cake or even coffee and walnut)

Be proud to be British: Tell supermarkets to go shove cupcakes up their collective cockends sideways!

I guess that's why they like cupcakes. I always think of them as things that kids cook when they are about 4 because they are so simple. I can't believe we even have shops that sell nothing but f***ing cupcakes!

You know, in case you're too fat to actually walk to get your daily doughnuts.

And does it have much trade?! I'm shocked and horrified.
I thought drive through fast food was bad enough. Never really understood the normal use of the places - people drive through, and then park in the car park and eat in their cars. Why not go into the restaurant and let the restaurant stink of grease instead of your car!!
There's nothing for it - I'm going to have to leave the UK and go and live in Mongolia...

you really don't want to live in Mongolia...
mind you, there are some cracking birds there..

Every time I bike past it I hope/expect to see it shut down, but somehow they seem to get the business. Tesco's sugary doughnuts kick the arse of those glaze, claggy dog-tods from Krispy Kreme Korporation (KKK).

My aunt lives there- I was last back for my cousin's funeral at the start of the year. It's a bit of a depressing place, innit?

Relatively safe from the seething urban hordes. New Malden is indeed a dump. Good if you like Korean food though. A little micro-community there for some reason.

no, hang on, I'm thinking of just outside Worcester Park, between there and Stoneleigh
