and the movie will still suck.

You do know that they've strung this out into three movies.
...and each will suck worse than the last. (and the first is gonna REALLY suck)

3 films!?! You're shitting me?
If that's the case i'm not going to see it out of principle, it's a fucking money racket if that's what they've done.

I had the same reaction when I heard.
I know its budget is like half a billion dollars or something, so they'll want their money back and then some, but three films? LOTR is 1000 pages, the Hobbit is a couple of hundred...

Yeah, that whole thing reeks of the studio rinsing it for every penny.
But again, you don't know it's going to suck. I mean, how bad can it be?

They're making three full-length feature films out of a thin kid's book.

It wasn't thin when I read it.
Are you sure you're not confusing the Hobbit with The Hungry, Hungry Caterpillar?

I've worked on merchandise for the film and had access to a bit more info than has been released.
It looks ok but if you treat the book as canon you're going to get upset.

Lord of the Rings were the most overrated movies ever.
Sir Jackson should have stuck with his b-movie horror flicks.
