I think too much is being made of it, to be honest
Lucasfilm still exists, it will just be under the Disney umbrella.
The same as Marvel is.
The same as Miramax was
The same as Hollywood Pictures and Touchstone were.
Disney doesn't just make kids films:
Ruthless People
Con Air
Pulp Fiction
Scream
Alive
Die hard 3
Starship troopers...
These are all 'Disney' films.
And after what they did for The Muppets, Disney can do little wrong in my eyes at the moment

They are currently working on Matthew Reilly's books too (the Scarecrow series are perfect cinema fodder and as far from normal Disney as you would expect).
I don't think they could ever do as much damage to it as George Lucas already has.
