Blimey.
It's irritating the way Republicans get away with all this sh*t, but any prominent Democrat campaigner comes out and says "they're a bunch of foaming mentalists", arguably far closer to the truth, would be political suicide.

it's amazing
how many of those Republican supporters have a ready soundbite at hand, but when pressed on it, show that they do not understand what they have just said

It's actually kinda creepy in another way
all these people being pressed on why Romney is the best man for the job, all the words pour out of their mouths: collections of sound-bites and half heard snippets, most of which don't connect with the question they've been asked. It's like they've been tied to a chair for a month and brainwashed, which probably isn't far from the truth.

I see it in the same vein as O supporters claiming that if Romney is elected, blacks will be sent to pick crops
Or that old people will be killed and women will no longer get health care.
There are crazies in any party, race or creed.

Undoubtedly
but it does seem there are more in some parties than others.

I don't know. It's reported a lot on both sides.
Twitter is aflame with people saying they will riot and assassinate Romney if he's elected. Most people ignore it, even though it's a federal crime to make such threats.

i do random searches on twitter daily
just to see what people are saying, on both sides.
i have seen no such threats.
saying twitter is aflame with threats against him might be stretching it a bit.

as to the second link
good, they should be investigated if they did make threats. but i question how many were just retweets and hashtag bandwaggoning, and how much this is being blown out of proportion. also, from the first link, many of those 'sources' are page not founds on twitter.

I suppose if infowars was creating the screenshots out of thin air I would really worry.
If they are actual screenshots, it seems a bit strange that only one source ran with it.

Would be brilliant if in order to vote
you need to pass a test on the candidate's policies.

in these people's defence, their opinions are fairly typical of people who live in remote, small towns the world over
It's just unfortunate that America has a lot of small, remote towns.
