he did a really deranged version of Faust in stop-motion and a totally strange film about food ... if you want to stay awake all night with creeping horrors in your peripheral vision then I recommend Jan Svankmajer very highly

I first saw his stuff back in '89 when I was...three...I was terrified and loved it all at the same time and have been obsessed ever since. Worrying what it says about what kind of three year old I was... :S
