1,000,000:1 contrast ratio means much, much better image quality, plus a big-screen flat-panel TV that's less than an inch thick

everything will be better when it's ready to go to market

My japanese isn't up to much so i didn't get that bit. The "ooh look! flexy tv" is still a pointless marketing gimmick like when CD's first came out they were selling them as "look it still plays after being covered in jam", can't say I was one for slapping a bit of raspberry preserve on my vinyl.

This is a normal post I think the flexing of the screen
is to show its durability and that it really is that thin and not a CG fake-out. I don't speak japanese at all, but if you click on the 2nd link with Wil Wheaton, you can see better applications of the technology

It's permanent because even though you can do that to the tft matrix it isn't very good for it.

Given a few more years of materials research we should be able to develop a fexible conductor and TV shirts will be a reality so Jeremey Kyle really can get on your tits
