This is a normal post right, but...
1,000,000:1 contrast ratio means much, much better image quality, plus a big-screen flat-panel TV that's less than an inch thick

everything will be better when it's ready to go to market

My japanese isn't up to much so i didn't get that bit. The "ooh look! flexy tv" is still a pointless marketing gimmick like when CD's first came out they were selling them as "look it still plays after being covered in jam", can't say I was one for slapping a bit of raspberry preserve on my vinyl.

This is a normal post I think the flexing of the screen
is to show its durability and that it really is that thin and not a CG fake-out. I don't speak japanese at all, but if you click on the 2nd link with Wil Wheaton, you can see better applications of the technology
