This is a link post Beginings of flash flood.
Never seen the approach of a flash flood like this before. There's a lot of power in that.

This is a normal post That is really quite amazing.
I think that I am quite a scientifically minded type. But it still seems like magic how all that water arrives at the same time.

This is a normal post cos the debris dam holds the leading water up
until there's enough to push the dam along... I guess

but it still seems that it would mean that the rain fell (at the same time) in a "circular" pattern, at an equal distance/time-to-flow, from the main course of the river?
