It's a bit glitchy in places
- but it's just literally cut up and pasted together. I've got no quantizing software, I did it all by hand.

Anyone know what percussion instrument is being used?
Curious as it features a lot in tv/movies but usually only so far back e.g. 60s/70s. Wondering why it wasn't common before that.

It's a guiro, used a lot in Latin American sounding music.

Thanks, I'd spent a fruitless but informative while trawling through videos of auxiliary percussion instruments without luck
Did find someone playing a flexatone nicely and with an impressive thunderdrum
